John Stott Accountants has been serving northeast companies and individuals for almost 30 years. We are a family firm, and our promise to you is that you will receive the same level of care and personal service whether you are a limited company with complex accounts or an individual who wants help to complete a tax return.

Our team consists of John and Carole Stott (pictured below) and Anne Cooper.

Our office in Crook, County Durham is very easy to find and we have ample free and secure parking right on the doorstep.

We aim to help ensure that all of your finances and statutory returns are in order and your tax liability is minimised.

If you have a business we do this by:

  • helping make sure that your company accounts are in good order keeping as much as possible of your hard-earned company profits where they belong: in your business
  • interpreting the information in the accounts for you, and offering tax advice specific to your situation

If you are a private individual we do this by:

  • helping you complete your tax return
  • reclaiming any income tax that HMRC owes you, and submitting claims for everything that you are entitled to receive
  • dealing with inheritance tax and capital gains tax issues; planning for the future with you
